Nokia Launches C5

Nokia today announced that it was launching the C5, an inexpensive touchscreen phone that runs the Symbian^1 OS found on phones like the 5800 XpressMusic and the N97. Nokia made the launch announcement through its blog, Nokia Conversations.

The blog clarifies that today's launch is the C5-03 variation of the Nokia C5 model and will have a 3.2-inch touchscreen with Wi-Fi, 3G and assisted GPS along with free Ovi Maps support. The C5-03 also has a 5MP camera with no flash, has 40MB of internal memory and supports upto 16GB of microSD cards. Although, there is no mention of when it will be hitting stores in India, Nokia mentions that the expected price will be €170 (Rs. 10,700 approx.)
